When comparing the tactile acuity of various body parts, what have you concluded about the number of receptors in the palm of your hand relative to the number of receptors on your shoulder?

In order for your body to feel pain or other sensations related to touch, it has to have nerve receptors so that it could transmit information to your brain. Your hands would need more receptors because we are adapted to using our hands for sensation. Areas of your body that required tactile acuity would need more receptors.
