a device accelerates a projectile from rest using magnetic forceon a on current carrying wire. The wire has a length 70.0cm and a mass of 15.0kg. This wire is totally contained in a perpenducular magnetic field of 1.85 T, and the 2 rails that allow this wire to slide along are 1.0 m long. If this wire is suddenly provided with 1.00 x104 of current what will be the velocity of the wire when it leaves the rail.

F=B*I*L*sin$\theta$θ

F=1.85*(1.00 X 104)*0.7*sin90 = 12950 N

To find the velocity, first we need to find the acceleration by usin Newton'ssecond law of motion;

F=mxa

12950 = 15*a

a= 863.3 m/s2

Finally, to find the velocityof the wire, we need to use one of the equations of the motion;

Vf2 =Vi2 + 2*a*d

Vf2 = 02 + 2*863.3*1

Vf = 41.6 m/s

NOTE: In this question unit of current is not written therefore I have assumed it as Ampere which is Si unit of current. However, 10000A is a very large current for this type of questions.
