A motocross rider performed a stunt in which she drove horizontally off of a 6.0 m high cliff and cleared
the 20 m wide river directly below. The speed limit on the road she used as a runway is 50 km/h. The
police say there is no way the stunt could have been performed successfully without speeding, but the
rider claims she followed the speed limit. The rider hires a forensic physicist to help her fight the
speeding ticket. She is getting tickets for the other laws she broke in doing the stunt, but does she also get
a speeding ticket?
