daphne is designing a poster for her band the sweet monsters she wants the letters to be slanted and wants the two words on separate lines she plans to draw a grid of parallel lines to use as a guide to do this A)using a straightedge and compass or a straightedge and protractor draw a parallel lines that daphne could use to guide each letter in her poster draw your guide so there are no right angles B)Explain how you know your parallel lines are parallel C) create the text for the poster

The procedure is described below: Note that in all these steps, the compass setting must be unchanged (i.e. the same size circle every time).
1. Draw a straight line.
2. At some point B on the straight line, place the centre of your compass and make a circle. The circle will intercept the line at two points, which we call A and C.
3. Draw a circle around each of A, B, C. Circles A and B will intercept at one point above the line, which we will call D. Similarly, circles of B and C will intercept at a point we will call E.
4. Draw a line between D and E. It will be parallel to the first line (assuming your tracing is perfect!). Why? Because ABD and BCE are both equilateral triangles with equal side lengths, so their heights will be the same (i.e. equal distance from line ABC).
Regarding the drawing I cannot seem to be able to attach it. I built in Microsoft Visio, with straight lines and perfect circles. I cannot attach it to this answer. Sorry about that.
