Yes, b is correct. The corpus luteum secretes progesterone, which maintains the endometrium for zygote development.

a. is incorrect because although the corpus luteum does produce relaxin, the function of relaxin is to relax ligaments in the cervix and pelvis

c and d. the placenta is not formed until about the tenth week of pregnancy, during which time the corpus luteum degrades. The placenta takes over progesterone secretion.
