how to write a position paper
To write a position paper you need an issue with two sides, generally either for or against a certain issue.
"Should masks be made mandatory in public?"
Is an example of a recent issue people are taking very strong positions on.
Choose a side. Compile a list of reasons why you are either for or against this issue. Write a paragraph on each one.
To write a position paper specifically for Diploma Exams:
• Analyze the source to demonstrate an understanding of the ideological perspective(s) reflected in the source
• Establish and argue a position in response to the question presented
• Support your position and arguments by using evidence from your knowledge and understanding of social studies
