You say you have your answer as D at the moment and you have the first part correct, but try to think of what the placenta is (it is part of the reproductive process later on and females don't actually have one untill a certain point in the pregnancy).  The endometruim lining is where the egg will "stick" and begin to develop and what will be the lining of the womb.
